The Dixon Valve A525-50RAF polyester 500# single jacket fire hose has a 2-1/2" ID and is 50 ft. long. Its tube is made of EPDM (ethylene-propylene diene-terpolymer) synthetic rubber for resistance to aging and ozone, and its cover consists of a single jacket of polyester, which resists abrasion and flex fatigue. These two components are fused together through a vulcanization process that eliminates the need for a separate reinforcement layer to maintain a maximum working pressure of 225 pounds per square inch (psi). This hose will function effectively at temperatures ranging from -10 to +150 degrees F, and comes equipped with factory-installed male and female aluminum National Standard Thread (NST) rocker lug expansion ring couplings. This hose is suitable for high-volume water conveyance operations typical to fire departments.Industrial hoses transfer or convey air or liquid in hose systems. Some applications require specialized oils or chemicals to be conveyed through the system. In this case, hose selection must ensure compatibility of the hose tube, cover, couplings and O-rings with the fluid used.
